The road
Airport highway (Kakheti Highway) into the city, then the riverside embankment. At night it is 20 minutes to Old Town; at 18:00 on a weekday allow 40. Some Old Town lanes are too narrow or steep for a minivan — the driver stops at the nearest street and helps with the bags.
Worth stopping
- ATMs, currency exchange and Magti / Silknet / Cellfie SIM counters are in the arrivals hall — the driver waits while you sort them.
