Georgia has open road crossings with Armenia (Sadakhlo–Bagratashen, Ninotsminda–Bavra, Guguti–Gogavan) and Turkey (Sarpi, Vale; Kartsakhi is daytime), all except Kartsakhi on the Revenue Service 24-hour list. The only open crossing with Russia, Upper Lars (Dariali), is for vehicles only. Azerbaijan's land borders remain closed to travellers since March 2020; only a limited Tbilisi–Baku train resumed in May 2026. We drive you door to door to Yerevan or Gyumri, or to the Georgian side of Sarpi, Vale and Upper Lars, at a fixed price per car. Checked by the RideGE team on .

Do you drive through the border or change cars?

To Armenia we drive through in the same car with the same driver. To Turkey we stop at the Georgian checkpoint: Georgian cars need extra papers there, so you cross on foot (Sarpi) or continue with a Turkish-side car you arrange (Vale). At Upper Lars we take you to Stepantsminda only — we do not sell the crossing into Russia.

What happens if a crossing closes on my travel day?

For Armenia we switch to another open crossing at the same price. For a Turkish or Russian drop-off we move your date free of charge or refund the online payment in full if you cancel 24 h or more before pickup.

Which documents do I need at a Georgian land border?

A passport or (for some nationalities) an ID card. Since 1 January 2026 Georgia requires tourists to hold health insurance for the stay. Visa rules depend on your passport — check the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Armenian or Turkish e-visa portal for the other side.

Are the Azerbaijan crossings open again?

No. Azerbaijan has kept its land borders closed since March 2020 and keeps extending the decree (OC Media, 17 March 2026). A Tbilisi–Baku train restarted on 26 May 2026 for limited categories of passengers (Eurasianet, 20 May 2026). See our Red Bridge status page.
