The road
Batumi → Kobuleti → Samtredia → Kutaisi bypass → Rikoti tunnel → Khashuri → Gori → Tbilisi. In winter the Rikoti section can be slow in snow; we send cars with winter tyres.
Worth stopping
- Kutaisi: Bagrati cathedral or Gelati monastery (+1–1.5 h, ask in advance).
- Gori or Uplistsikhe cave town (+1–1.5 h).
